Our Founder and Chairman, Mary Mapp, started her first temporary agency in 1977.
An entrepreneur at heart, Mary quickly went from being the first woman in Senior
Management at the Broadway Distribution center in Los Angeles to starting a temporary
staffing firm that was established solely to provide temporaries to Broadway’s distribution
center. In their busiest seasons, 750 temps reported to Mary and her team. After
a short retirement, Mary purchased a small staffing service, W.C. Barlow & Associates,
Inc. She built that company to five offices in two states and expanded her expertise
to include not only retail distribution, but also clerical and direct placement.
With a solid foundation of experience and entrepreneurism, Finesse Staffing is emerging
as a leader in the temporary and direct hire market place. Currently, Finesse has
a thriving logistics and packaging division that employs over 600 temporary associates
through a dedicated on-site program; as well as an extremely competitive division
dedicated to finding the best talent available in the clerical, legal and accounting
fields.
